Meet Our Team
| John Zapotocky - President, Wenatchee, WA and Maui, HI
John has led Pacific Rim Land, Inc. for over ten years. During that time PRL has expanded from a single project to a multi-project enterprise in Hawaii. PRL has also established a presence as a real estate investor in Dallas and Western Washington. John's previous experience in the Hawaiian development industry includes staff and management positions with Kaiser Aetna, Wailea Development Company, Mokuleia Homesteads and as a self-employed consultant to a variety of Hawaiian developers. John is a graduate of the University of Hawaii- College of Business Administration with a B.A. in Economics, and M.B.A. and post graduate work in Finance. He has been a community bank director in Texas and is currently a director of NCW Bank in Wenatchee; and is involved in professional and community organizations.

| John Maloney - Development Manager
John has been part of our PRL staff since early 2001 and was hired as a Project Coordinator. Having proven his experience in land development over the last 4 years, John has been promoted to the position of Development Manager. His background and professional experience follow:
John is a graduate of MATC of Madison, Wisconsin holding dual degrees in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. John provides PRL over 14 years of experience working on development projects in the Hawaiian Islands while working as the construction manager for a Civil Engineering Consulting Firm here on Maui. His diverse and award winning projects included airports runways, residential and commercial subdivision developments, and large water systems.
John offers PRL over 28 years of experience in the areas of construction management, civil engineering, and historic adaptive reuse projects. He is involved in professional and community organizations on Maui.

| Donna Clayton – Project Coordinator
Donna joined Pacific Rim Land as Project Coordinator in July 2002. Prior employment included project administration with CH2M Hill Engineering and serving as Assistant Land Manager for Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. where she was involved in entitlement processing, permitting, community relations, and land administration, including project administration on the award winning renovation and expansion of the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center in Central Maui and the Kapua Village employee housing project in West Maui. At Pacific Rim Land she recently completed the Six Fathoms commercial building on Front Street in Lahaina and is currently involved in several subdivision projects.
Donna has been involved in numerous professional and community organizations, currently serving as Secretary of the State Na Ala Hele Trails – Maui Commission and Vice President of the Maui Historical Society.

| Gary A. Swatzel - Project Coordinator
Gary joined Pacific Rim Land in November 2004. Previously, he was Senior Project Manager for The Alton Group, the Construction Management Company he founded in 1982.
Gary has successfully provided Construction Management and Owner’s Representation for projects that include Commercial Business Parks, Hospitality Developments and Resort Communities. He has also completed re-development of several buildings listed on The National Register Of Historic Places.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Oregon. He is a member of the Construction Specification Institute and is a Candidate for the National Real Estate Association: CCIM.

| Blanca Lafolette – Project Coordinator
Blanca joined the PRL team in July 2004. Her background includes property management, and retail leasing for the commercial property division for one of Maui’s largest landowners. Blanca also brings to PRL experience in law representing investors, partners, and principals in land development. Current projects for PRL include the development of a light industrial center and a retail shopping center. Blanca is involved in both professional and community organizations on Maui, and a member and past president of the Maui Contractors Women’s Auxiliary. |

| Desiree A. P. Lopes – Administrative Assistant
Desiree is a Maui girl, born and raised here on Maui. She is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools. Desiree brings 20 years of experience to PRL as an Administrative Assistant, 18 years of which were dedicated in legal disciplines working for Maui attorneys specializing in the fields of real estate, real property, business and estate planning.
She is a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Toastmasters International, Maui Contractors Women’s Auxiliary, and a Leader at King’s Cathedral & Chapels.
